| PROLOGUE - ENTRACQUE 21st JULY 2007 | PROLOGUE: 1600 m – Entraque CN
Dual Slalom, direct elimination, with pre-selection in the afternoon.
134 riders for this IB 2007.
In a super hot july day, they all arrived from 16 different nations.
The prologue this year, is different from any other editino.
It is composed of two trials.
Free runs (2) in the afternoon to determinate the best time and the 32 selected riders that would ride the night prologue on the ski tracks of Entracque.
Funny and great! Said the atheltes, however, in the night the mood changed.
A strong wind coming towards the atheltes, started at 9 pm righ bifore the official trial. The wind was so strong that the visibility of the race would have been compromised (because of the powder from the ground). Thus, after few athletes tried the track, the trial has been stopped.
Iron Bike apologized with the athletes and some of them, decided to keep on riding for the benefit of the many fans that where waiting all along the track.
In the night, the awarding ceremony sees the first white jerseys:
FS1 - ARNAU ROTA CANO (E) followed by brasialian HUGO PRATO NIETO and spanish JAUME RIBOSA DE GRACIA.
