A big party, yesterday, in Barge. The major and manager of the sports greeted the athletes of Iron Bike with spectacular fireworks that drew the words: Welcome Iron Bike. 

The awording ceremony gave prizes to the winners of yesterday stage:

FS1  = Sibl Radoslav, Janota Miroslav, Alzamora Josep

FS2 = Axel Strauss, Jordy, Codony Batlle, Vizacaino La Paz Joan C

COP = Nicolai - Cuffini, Tallone - Pasero, Zancanaro -  Grassi

FEM = Sandra Klomp, Ludmila Damkova, Nuria Martinez

After that, the organizers proceeded to the official delivery of the Iron Bike Jerseys to the leaders: Sibl, Klomp, Strauss, Nicolai-Cuffini.

Cesare Giraudo remembered the figure of Michele Perassi, manager of the sports in Barge until 2006, that died in an accident last year.

Michele was a true Iron Biker: he lived with an artificial leg but dispite the menomation he kept on organizing, riding bicycles, working and walking in the mountains. That's why, yesterday a special Iron BIke Trophy entitled to Michele has been given to the athlete that best incarnates the spirit of Iron Bike.

Sandra klomp got the trophy, for her 5  Iron Bike victories.  She also got a voucher to participate to the CROCODILE TROPHY in Australia. This year, in fact, IRON BIKE and CROCODILE have decided to give two vouchers as a prize for their raids. Crocodile gave Iron BIke two free vouchers and Iron Bike will give two free vouchers to Crocodile to invite 2 atheltes to 2008 IB.
